"If there are one or more people on your friends list who make your world a better place just because they exist, and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the Internet, then post this same sentence in your journal." Yeah. I've seen this floating around some but never got around to posting it until now. This is really true of all of you.

I saw an old episode of the animated kids' show 'The Backyardigans' today... one of the heroes who was saving the world from the evil supervillians (Dr. Shrinky and Yucky Man) was called... wait for it... Captain Hammer. LOL

It's embarrassing to admit I've watched 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager,' but I saw that L. Scott Caldwell has a minor role as a foster mom/social worker. She is everywhere. Maybe that means Rose does get off the Island. *g*

- I was tagged by kyuss92. Not a strict top 10, just a list of some talented people I like and admire for various reasons- no particular order and sorry, no pics. I've also seen people doing this as Top 10 sexiest men. Do it if you feel like it.

John Barrowman
Burn Gorman
Josh Holloway
Henry Ian Cusick

Jeremy Davies
David Tennant
Barack Obama
Michael Franti
Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert- a twofer

The rules are simple:
Make a list of 10 songs and/or artists and state why you can't stand listening to them.
Please don't be too hateful with your reasons. Remember, your least favorite song or artist might be somebody's favorite.
Feel free to tag 10 others with this meme, if you like. ;)

I was tagged for this by ducky01. I could have chosen at least 50 songs, lol. And that's for someone who actually owned a 12" LP single, extended dance mix, of "Da Da Da" by Trio. Roflmao! A lot of these have good aspects to them or are rather catchy, which is part of the problem. Please don't take offense if I've dissed a song you think is great, because I'm not so good at the "don't be mean" rule. An annoying song that gets stuck in your head is known as an ear worm. Appropriate, no? I came across this advice which might be useful, unless the cure turns out to be worse than the disease... 'To remove a stuck song, sing Monty Python’s Lovely Bunch of Coconuts. it’s like Musical 409 and wipes all other annoying songs out.' So, good luck with that. *weg*

1. "My Humps" - The Black Eyed Peas. Absolutely horrific. Must. Wash. Brain. And this won a grammy?

2. "Shakin" - Eddie Money. Or "Two Tickets to Paradise," or most anything by Eddie Money. I've hated this one for ages.

3. "Breakfast at Tiffany's" - Deep Blue Something. I just despise this song. Completely inane lyrics and so awful. I guess a couple other rather popular bands have done this travesty as well, I don't know why.

4. "Closing Time" - Semisonic. Grammy nominated, overplayed and so bad, a hit that's also been covered several times.

5. "We Built This City" - Starship. For remnants of Jefferson Airplane to have descended into this horror was rather sad.

6. "Achy Breaky Heart" - Billy Ray Cyrus. 'Nuff Said.

7. "Hey Mickey" - Toni Basil. For those of you too young to remember this number-one hit from the early eighties, feel fortunate. This also became a cheerleading favorite. Hide your weapons as it may make you want to give a new meaning to the "blow my mind" line.

8. "I'm Too Sexy" - Right Said Fred. Augh!

9. "I Love You, You Love Me" - Barney & Friends. As the mom of a preschooler, I don't really mind this one that much- we sing it sometimes but I also often change the lyrics, sometimes to be satirical or mildly rude- snarkiness begins at home, kids! I'm including it because so many people suspect it is used by various governments as a torture method.

10. "This Is the Song That Never Ends" - Lambchop show. Another implement of torture, this one was used effectively by generations of kids against their helpless parents. "This is the song that never eeeends, yes it goes on and on my friieeends, some people started singing it not knowing what it was, and they'll continue singing it forever just because"....and repeat. forever. because, it's the song that never ends!

Now that was productive. *g* And to think I could be at Comic-Con right now. bah. lol!
