Part 11
A/N: Yoochun met Yesung and Shindong on a Thursday. I forgot to mention that in the previous chapter.
Hahaha Media Office
Yoochun wasn't sure how he got here but somehow maybe by autopilot or the pull of the magnets in the north and south poles, he arrived at his office. He switched on his PC like always, sat down and tried to get some work done. Tried as he might, Yoochun just couldn't concentrate. His miind kept playing the scene at the restaurant The scene of a laughing, smiling Changmin with some unknown guy. He looked so happy, his eyes looked alive and not dull, dead when he's with me.
Although Yoochun's fully aware that CM doesn't exactly likes him (yet!), Yoochun couldn't bring himself to think so. Being optimistic and postive is vital in his The man does drink the coffee, eats the food that he prepares for him. It could be nothing though. Yoochun tells himself. They could just be friends but still it hurts. Who was that guy? Changmin's flame, old flame maybe?
Park Yoochun closed his eyes and sighed. Hopeless, everything seems so hopeless! From the first day Yoochun found out about his halabeolji plans to marry him off to his good friend's grandson, Yoochun just knew Shim Changmin is the one for him. He could feel it in the air, in his bones but now.... The young manga translator pushed his mouse aside and threw himself on his desk and did what most people would in cases as this, he cried.
Meanwhile at Changmin and Yoochun's apartment.
Changmin punched the codes for the door, waited for the famliar click and pushed the door open. The light at the door switched on automatically but the other parts of the house remained engulfed in darkness. Changmin slipped off his shoes and slid his tired feet into plain ordinary white coloured house slippers. He stepped into the living room and for the first time since they moved in, the apartment was cold and silent.
Flipping on the lights, Changmin shrugged off his coat. Usually when he came home, he would be greeted with a chatty Yoochun. He... Changmin grimaced, would be babbling about one thing or the other but today, maybe he went or ... Shit! How could he forget?! Changmin grinned to himself. That pabo sent him a text while he was having dinner with Kyuhyun! Something about coming home late! Good! At least for tonight, his ears and mind will have some peace and quiet.
Or so Changmin thought. After a while, Changmin found the deafening silence quite disturbing. He never had any problems with silence before. He works in a lab for God sakes! People speaking in hushed tones or hardly saying a work was normal. Maybe I've gotten so used to that idiot rambling on and on that this feels weird. Maybe I should switch on the TV, where's the remote?
As he looked for the remote, Changmin's stomach rumbled. The last time he ate was hours ago. He glanced through the kitchen and found it quite bare, opened the microwave and there wasn't anything there either. Usually the pabo would leave something...."Yah! Damn it!" Changmin cursed out loud in the empty kitchen. Why the hell do I keep thinking about that idiot?!" So angry with himself for letting his mind wander about that silly idiot, Changmin grabbed a cup ramen, poured some water in it before shoving it into the microwave.
Eagerly, the senior researcher pulled the cup ramen lid off and dug in.
It was supposed to be BBQ Beef flavoured ramen. Picture on the container looked good, smells okay, so it should... Changmin blew the thick strings of ramen a bit before directing it to his mouth. "Argh...!"
It was the worst ramen he had ever eaten! There's no BBQ taste at all! "What brand is this? Changmin read the label and frowned. It's the usual brand he buys but why does it tastes so bad? Changmin decided to give the ramen another go and it still tasted horrible. In the end, Changmin threw the sad excuse for ramen, grabbed his wallet and decided to eat out.
After passing by several eateries, Changmin finally decided upon a small restaurant managed by an elderly couple. There weren't many customers but the aroma emitted from the shop was making his mouth water. Changmin quickly gave his order and watched the people passing by the shop. It was already past nine but there were still many people on their way home. Changmin stretched his long legs, this wasn't the first time he is here.
Flashback.
"Let's eat here." Yoochun tugged at Changmin's sleeve.
Changmin clicked his tongue irritably. He was dead tired, just gotten out of a packed train and when he emerged from the station main gate, Yoochun was there grinning and waiting for him. And now instead of going straight home and take a nice long shower, that pabo was dragging him through the rows of shops on the way to their apartment.
"I told you, I already had something at the office. I'm NOT hungry."
Yoochun bit his lip. Everytime he suggested they eat together, Changmin would refuse. Undeterred, Yoochun said, "Okay but I'm going to order to go. There aren't many people, so it probably won't take long."
"Fine, whatever." Changmin rolled his eyes, missing the large brown orbs that were looking imploringly at him.
"Right, let's go in." Yoochun casually took his wrist and pulled him inside.
End of flashback.
Shaking his head in disgust, Changmin swore softly under his breath. Why the freaking hell was he thinking about that pabo, again?!
"It's just you this evening?" The elderly waiter placed a steaming bowl of food in front of the hungry chemist.
"What?" Changmin's head snapped up
"Your other half." He had noticed their rings.
"Uhmmm yes...he's busy." Changmin mumbled. He's hungry and didn't feel like chit chatting.
The waiter nodded. "Enjoy your meal."
Junsu and Wookie's apartment.
"Hang up."
"..."
"Hang up, Wookie." Junsu said.
Wookie glared at Junsu. "I'm worried about him, hyung."
"And I'm not?" Came the sharp reply from Junsu. Puffing his cheeks, Junsu soften his tone. "Look, I know you're worried but right now the best thing to do is to leave Yoochun alone. His thoughts must be in a mess now! Let him sort it out thought I rather he pummel, whack, clobber, that fool, Shim Changmin!"
"Hyung!"
Junsu grinned and squeezed his dongsaeng's shoulders. "Yoochun will be alright. He knows we're here for him."
Changmin and Yoochun's apartment.
A small smile formed on Changmin chapped lips as he got ready to shower. Kyuhyun is so lucky. He had, after a long string of blind dates, found the man of his dreams! A ballroom dancer by the name of Kim Maru at a competition a few months ago. At first they were just friends but lately things have gotten serious between them. Kim Maru asked Kyu to move in with him and even gave him a couple ring. That was what the dinner was all about. Kyu was so happy that he called Changmin later that night with the good news. Changmin promptly declared this was a legit reason for a celebration and in his excitement agreed to treat Changmin to a lavish dinner.
Guess some people are lucky and get to meet their true love, but him? Changmin sighed as he pushed the shower's sliding door. He gets railroad into a marriage he doesn't want to have anything to do with! Is at the moment stuck living with a pabo that keeps appearing in his head! Will he ever find happiness like Kyu? Changmin shakes his head and lets the warm pins of water cascade down his weary body.
It's a bit short, I'm sorry but please tell me what you think of it.
End of part 11.
