Ace spent hours in her room that day- she'd not really had a good time of it, with Ianto and all. She only got up when she had to leave, and she shouldered her rucksack as she was headed down the stairs. Needed to get her Thermos- fill it up with coffee like usual, but at least it wasn't all bad.
On her way back upstairs, she passed Jack's room and hesitated. She- She really should- He deserved to know. Needed to know. Didn't he? With Romana gone- Ace tried not to even think about that, but there was the possibility that they'd go too, and then- well. She'd want him to know. If she was gone, anyway. He deserved better then he had, and she didn't think he knew it-
Which all lead up to her pushing her door open a few more inches. "Oi, Jack?" Her voice was quiet, but she wasn't even sure if he was in there.
