Last Saturday (24 Feb 2008) we had a Wii party. 6 of us-Claudia and Paul, her bf; Monica;Tamara (Nan's lab mates), Nan and myself were so full and had so so much fun. We had a Thai food feast. Nan made Pha-lo, Som-tum and Pla rad prik. All of them turned out divine! I was responsible for Tom Yum soup and dessert. The friends brought loadsa juice and soft drinks (too many that we still have a lot left afterwards) Monica made some chocolate truffles which is just pure delight.
The food turned out fab! Claudia said Paul hasn't stopped talking about my Tom Yum soup until now. I'm pretty pleased.
But the best of them all is my swan profiteroles.... It was the first time I tried to make profiterole in swan shape. So bad we forgot to take a picture of them on the day. My little swans were placed in the middle of a chocolate sauce pond. --Tammy was in awe.
Fortunately,I made a spare one and assemble it on Sunday.
Here are the picture of the day-after-the-party swan :)
Afterward, we played Mario Olympic which is so much fun. Claudia was very competitive and got angry when she lost to me when we played Tennis in Wii Sport. Don't wanna brag, but I think I'm quite good at Wii tennis. Nan and I are good team hahaha :D
When friends left at about midnight, you would think that we were so knackered that we went straight to bed, right? But NO NO NO. Nan and I played the Olympic until 3.30 am......It appeared that we couldn't stop. So, it's only natural that we woke up at about 2 pm the next day.
Emm... Sunday was also wasted by me doing nothing but making some more cocktail-sized profiteroles ( to be given to Uza and P'Mon).
We played some more Wii again....Nan pretended that she was working on her ppt presentation while I was making profiterole. I said pretend because she looked so serious with her notes(with some chemical structures and all) at hands but when I looked closer she was only reading some trashy entertainment news online!!!
Note to self : 1)buy Nintendo Wii when go back home. buy Cooking Mama Wii asap.
2) Never trust Nan when she says that she is working 'cause she is only checking
entertainment news.
3) Don't feel guilty asking Nan to play the Wii when she appears to be studying.... 'cause she'll
drop everything to play Wii anyway.
Btw, I bought a ticket to Barcelona already...so excited.
