Hero Honda Vs Honda Shine
By Hero Honda I mean the most famous selling bike splendor . This was the dillema I had if I should go for Splendor or take a better bike . I definitely hate pulsar , one thing its from poor bajaj engines plus I always see freaks on them more like fattys .
Not that shine has got young and hippy audiences , I was very much convinced that Honda makes the best engines , so everything comes next . I went for a 2009 model which was bashed by many peers saying its too costly or like why not a new one ?
My answers are the same I dont deserve a fresh new engine because I never took care of bikes so definitely I am going to mess the new one , why not take a well tuned engine and start using it ?
I should say I was lucky , I almost went for an old splendor because it came dirt cheap but the seller backed out due to some strange reason . I then went looking for Shines and damn my father and mama gave me the best one !!
Should I say ++ satisfied ?

Having ridden my mamas splendor all my post adoloscent life , that was one bike I knew how to drive decently if not good enough . Shine did take some time to get used to .
The first major problem I had with the bike was the gears on a slope when going up but was stopped on the middle , the bike stopped and I had to go back because I just couldnt negotiate the slope . Yes its pretty embrassing but I wanted to know how the gear system works and how it goes with splendor on comparision .
Honda shine first is a 125 CC bike when compared to 100 CC of splendor , so ddefinitely shine gives the kick and I knew that before buying but the USP of my bike is optimax engine which seems to be designed keeping in mind the slow moving urban audience.
More about optimax : It says optimal fuel consumption but I would say that even in 4th gear during traffic if you gradually slow down , you can slow down all the way to 15 kmph still remaining in the 4th gear which makes life pleasant .
So did I get used to gears ? I for five or 10 days still had the silly problem of coming to lower gear even if not necessary by optimax engine , the other petty issue was only coming to 3rd gear during a speed breaker , so I made a self not even in 3rd gear if engine beating has reduced a lot goto(2nd) ;
Yesterday when mama was the pillion he was like ..' damn its smooth ' ohh yeah it is and it gave me more than 67 kms for the litre I tried day before yesterday and I was shocked !!!
