Andy and I set a date for the move (June 17). We're going to have to drive overnight because, even if we left at some ungodly hour of the morning like 3 a.m., we still wouldn't arrive until 6 at night which seems like it might be just a tad too late in the day to unpack an entire truck. So, we're leaving on a Tuesday, arriving in Chicago on Wednesday and I start school Monday.
Unfortunately, that's all we know. We're still waiting on financial aid, an apartment and Andy to find a job.
A provisional award email came two weeks ago and said a letter would be in the mail a week and a half ago, but it's yet to arrive. The $80,000 for the four quarters is covered through scholarships, grants, work study but mostly loans (only one high interest, Thank God) but I don't know when they get dispersed, so I don't know when I can start contributing to our living situation or even if they'll let me have the dough. Sooooo, now I'm just waiting for the financial aid people to return my calls.
Andy's applied for, like, 25 jobs but of the responses he's received, he's either too qualified or underqualified or they've had too many applicants for the job. I don't know what we're going to do without an income for an undisclosed amount of time when we get there.
AND, most apartments in Chicago won't let you rent them unless you go see them first so we're trying to get Andy's sister's husband's sister to take a look at it for us but who knows if they'll even accept our application.
Plus, my co-worker hit my car last week so I have to take it in to get fixed and bills keep pouring in and I work every freakin' day and everyone has negative things to say about the job we do at iBerkshires and I just don't know how much more I can take.
