Hark!

I'm back! It's been a long time. And it will probably yet be a little longer after this until I become a regular again (if I do a all), but all is good.

I got mono, probably from exhausting myself at Theater Festival and then at the CYM Debutante ball. Luckily my mono wasn't so bad. My throat swelled a little. But now I'm up and running around liek a chicken without a head again.

Man of La Mancha is fun. The cast is small and I like the music and the story is facinating. Mr. Sahr's directing, however, is questionable by my standards. Granted it is very early in the game, but he wants to make the "skeleton" of the show now and then add the actual acting later on. I, on the other hand, believe it is more conducive to put as much feeling and nature in the first few rehearsals as one can. Then an actor may grow on that. But it'll be good. After all, Mr. Sahr is indeed a very goal-oriented man. We are on task to be ready two weeks before opeing night.

My college audition was last Wednesday (February 9). It went very well. My monologues were a success and my songs were a better success. So now I just wait to see what the politics of Roosevelt University will dictate. Will I be knocked out of the race by the less talented dean's neice, or was I so amazing no niece was worth the asset I would be? We shall see in April.

Otherwise, I read Wicked, which was amazing, after reading the original Wizard of Oz. Wicked ruined The Wizard of Oz, or rather was a much better take on that story. It's very sad. From the perspective of the wicked witch of the west (the green one with the broom stick). I also finished Atlas Shrugged which was phenominal. It ended funny, but how else could one end such a book? I also read the book Neuman gave me for Christmas The Craft of the Warrior. It is facinating what is written in that book. I't all about perceptions of reality and gaining knowledge by venturing into the unknown (i.e. anything you haven't done yet or a non-ordinary perspective on reality). It was interesting, but I don't exactly understand it yet. Maybe if I read it again it will make sense.

WELL...I have to go to sleep. This was longer than I expected it to be...cool!
Good night my loves!
Pavi
