So it's the fourth. Fireworks, burgers, dogs... all things American.
Unless you are in New Jersey.
I was in Atlantic City yesterday (before they shut the casinos down) and everywhere the people were talking about it. How does one's state run out of money, how can anyone politically let this happen on the Fourth of July?
It is obscene, and I feel bad for those dependent on the state for livelihood. Damn the man.
In other news, I'm in Maryland with the fam taking a break from demolition, having learned that it is a corrupt business, almost impossible to get a clean start into. I won't ever own a demolition company. New York is a giant pit into which millions go for needless permits. Time is wasted, workers are shunned... it's ridiculous.
I think maybe I should play the stock market... if I can make some money there I can live comfortably next year at school, concentrate on school without having to balance 40 hours a week at a job, and get the hell finished with that place.
Oh, and I can turn my apartment into my own place, filled and decorated the way I wanted. Yes, I'm a nerd, but so what. I live there, you just visit. Deal with it.
Yes, that means a couple head busts of historical figures, some nice little rugs, a couple canvas paintings... and surround sound everywhere out of which will come whatever my twisted little mind decides to play. Bar, wine fridge, etc for those days when people stop by (I figure with the location this may not be as uncommon as it would otherwise be), and maybe a poker table. we'll see on that one.
really I'm just rambling because it is too hot to go outside and do anything at all.
really it just amuses me that monotony has crept in. i thought i would share it with all of you. yes, I'm an asshole. You knew this, stop looking at me like that.
Cheers America, It's your birthday. Have another, you fucking lush.
