I am moving!
Okay, here's an actual update about what's going on. I realize I've been kind of quiet and except for close friends like Jenn, Amy, Tiffany, etc. most people don't know what my plans are.
I was laid off from my job last Monday. Not a terribly big surprise since we all knew it was coming. It's kind of a shame as I enjoyed working for the company but it gave me the much needed push out of Pahrump.
On January 3rd, Karl and I are loading up a Penske (and my Jetta) and driving to Tennessee. We will stay with Karl's dad until we figure things out; however, it is looking like we will relocate to somewhere in the Knoxville vicinity. The job market seems better out there and rentals are fairly cheap. The music scene is better and I'm closer to New England. I'll only be about 8 hours from Erica (in Newport News, VA) and I haven't CHECKED on how close I am to Jaime but I'm sure it's a lot closer than I am now haha. Knoxville is about 3 hours from Atlanta...2 hours from Nashville...fairly close to North and South Carolina. It's about 15 hours from Everett... Still a bit of a drive but the flight is MUCH shorter and technically, the drive is doable.
Overall, I think this will be good for us. The Southwest just doesn't have what I'm looking for and really, I'm much more of an East Coaster at heart :)
