I am so sorry to have to tell you that my computer crashed and I lost everything. I thought I did everything right - running Nortons and AVG at least twice a week, using malwarebytes and Spybot with tea timer, and only downloading files to my desktop, then scanning them before saving to my harddrive. Even so, I became infected with the most awful virus and none of my virus and malware programs detected it.
It ate almost all my files, so I had to reformat my harddrive and reinstall my operating system. That's when I found out that my recovery disc was corrupt and now some things don't work properly.
I had backed up my files used for making icons, such as tons of textures and the like, but since no software could detect the virus, I can't possibly install them again, so all is lost. :(
Believe me when I tell you I've spent the last week crying. I LOVE making icons and the thought of loosing almost two years of treasures breaks my heart. *sigh*
But I *will* be back! Neither snow nor sleet nor gloom of virus shall keep me from my appointed task! ;)
I'm looking at new computers and will buy one that's top of the line so I'll be able to make even better icons... but between saving up for it, then finding textures and stuff again, it will take me a few months.
Until then, please know that I deeply appreciate all the love you've shown this little old icon maker. I love you and miss you.
