Murphy called today
Tobin (my cat) was bitten by another animal this morning. I'm not sure what. I let him out this morning before heading to church. I didn't see him again until about 1pm.
The vet said the bite was a little big to be a cat bite but it wasn't impossible. We're not really sure what bit him. He had pretty much licked the area clean of fur and he now has a naked patch on his left shoulder. I'm scrambling around to find money to cover the vet bill.
And this just before the Van con. :(
On the one hand, I'm glad I was here to make the decisions at the vet and not in Vancouver conferencing over the phone with my mom (who watches Tobin while I'm gone). I feel better knowing he's gotten a shot of antibiotics. I worry that it will abscess while I'm gone. Also, he isn't current on his rabies vaccine (he is as of today) so there is that worry as well. :S
