I saw Music and Lyrics yesterday - GO SEE THIS MOVIE!! Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore are so cute together. :D

I kept laughing everytime Sophie would come into Alex's appartment and put her coat, purse, etc on top of his piano and him immediately removing it! LOL! That's something I would do. Wouldn't want to scratch my grand!
My favorite line (well, one of the ones I remembered the most) - Alex: "I give up. My face is in the butter." This just after he pushes the author who wrote the book about Sophie and they get in a fight at the restuarant. It was all in the delivery and very funny! Lots of quick and witty humor in this one. ;)
Yesterday was also the music festival that I wrote about earlier ( here). The student vocalists did great. Two of the three recieved honrable mentions and will proceed to the state level in May. At the last minute, one of the kids needed an accompanist and the director asked me if I could do it. No, no, that's evil! Don't ask me to do that moments before we have to perform it! What are you thinking!!? Um, sure.
So the student and I wander off to find a practice room. Poor kid wasn't very well prepared; he hadn't made any of the rehearsals previous to this event. I guess that's why he didn't have an accompanist. Long story short, we both got through the piece and the adjudicator was understanding and had many positive and constructive comments for this student.
