Another early start
Tobin woke me up around 5am. I tried to go back to sleep but just couldn't. So I got up around 6am and put the desktop pc back together and now I'm on line. Church job this morning. Then putting stuff away. I should probably do my taxes at some point, as well. Ugh.
The carpet installers arrived yesterday at 8am. Really nice people! They were done by 12pm. All of the heavy furniture is put back in place. Now to get the assorted miscellaneous items put away.
The old carpet was "used" and pulled out of the neighbor's house over 25 years ago and installed here while a renter lived in the house. That puts the carpet at 35 years old or more. Its age was really showing; there were holes in the living room that I covered over with an area rug. The carpet (of different designs and color) mostly fit the rooms but the linoleum underneath showed at the edge in the living room and in the door ways to the bedrooms. It lacked that "wall to wall" feeling. So having *real* wall to wall carpet all in the same style really revamps this little old house! :D
