It was a routine for Tatsuya to visit this hospital suite after his shift even after he was removed of that patient's charge. He feels like his day won't be complete unless he see him. Taking a deep breath, he knocked on the door and waited for it to be opened. A beautiful girl opened the door and smiled back at him.

"Ryo-jii, Ueda-sensei came to visit you," the girl announced as she ushered the doctor inside.

"You came to bother me again, it seems. You really can't resist not seeing me," the man on the bed mocked but clearly the smile on his face says otherwise. The two has formed a friendship from the countless of times the young doctor has visited him and it's seen in the fond smile on his face.

"Watch your words, midget. Or I'll inject you something to make you shut up," the doctor retaliated with pretend irritation while he hang his coat on the chair by the door.

"No wonder you're no longer my doctor. You were going to kill me," Ryo joked but he knew he said something wrong the moment those words came out, seeing the sad look on the young doctor's face. "Don't give me that face. You know I was joking, you sensitive freak," he countered.

Few years ago, Nishikido Ryo entered that hospital for a check up and that's how the two met with Ueda Tatsuya as a newbie doctor. It was a check up that tied Ryo to the bed for the majority of the year and Tatsuya taking care of him. But Ryo's condition made a turn for the worse and has to be assigned to a specialist.

Tatsuya smiled weakly while reaching for Ryo's chart to check his current condition. His color looks better but he's getting thinner everyday and it worries him.

"Ryo-jii," the girl interrupted. "I need to go home. Mama, might be worried about me. Besides, Ueda-sensei will take care of you."

"No, don't leave! You will not see me alive again tomorrow," he said which earned him a smack from Tatsuya.

"He'd be fine. I'll save him from himself," he said with a chuckle because of the glare the smaller man was throwing at him.

When Ryo's niece left, the two fell into their usual routine--talk about their day, no matter how boring Ryo's was; Tatsuya helping him eat dinner; or playing card games--until the sick man's bedtime.

Looking at Ryo's sleeping face, Tatsuya fights the urge to caress it and kiss his forehead. But only until he's about to leave and he's sure that Ryo is already sleeping soundly. That is another of Tatsuya's routine whenever he visits the other man.

Taking cue from his even breathing, the young doctor stood carefully not wanting to disturb the other's slumber. With slender and gentle fingers, he reached out to caress the handsome face although his illness has taken it's toll on him.

"I love you," he whispered as softly as the summer wind before kissing Ryo's forehead.

"I heard that, donkey face," the man underneath him said in a voice that tells him he was awake the whole time. "I hear it every night," Ryo said before pulling him down to kiss him full on the lips.

Nishikido Ryo has never thought that the most terrifying thing in his life will be in a form of woman. Not the woman herself but how she can dictate whether his life will continue at that moment. Across the table of a cozy restaurant with a romantic setting sat a woman with copper locks that flow gracefully down to her waist. She was dressed in a simple black dress yet it accented her fair skin and exposed her long shapely legs.

"Why are you so nervous?" she asked in a soft melodious voice.

Ryo looked up with wide eyes still wondering how such a beautiful creature fall in love with a simple salary man like him. He snapped himself out of his self pity and countered that he was a hard working man. In fact, after months of saving up, he's finally able to bring her to this place. He was planning for this day from the day he laid his eyes on her years ago.

He cleared his throat. "Nothing. I'm just not used to places like this," he reasoned.

She smiled softly and reached out for his hand. "I told you many times. I don't need to go to places like this. A ramen shop would do," she joked.

Holding her hand tighter, he said, "You're too easy on me. When other women asks for lavish gifts from their boyfriends you're satisfied with just me cooking something for you or walking together in a park. And I can't help but feel blessed to have you in my life."

Encouraged by the blush on his girlfriend's cheeks, he continued, "Tatchan, I may not be the richest of men nor the wisest but I will do everything that I can to make you happy. It will be my honor if I can spend the rest of my life making you happy. He paused and looked into her eyes, "Will you marry me?"

Lost for words and utterly surprised, the lady only managed to nod with a beautiful smile on her face. Plucking a simple ring from the box, Ryo placed it on her finger before kissing it. Smiling broadly and chest swelling with happiness and pride, the young man leaned forward to capture those red puckered lips in the sweetest and most passionate of kiss.

Standing outside her dorm room, a young lady still dressed in her school uniform took a deep breath before turning the knob. But just like every time, seeing her roommate made her heartbeat race. It's been like this for the past few months already but she doesn't want to take action on whatever it was hoping it will pass.

"Tadaima," she said softly but the girl lying on her bed barely even noticed her nor made a response. "Hey Tatchan, what's wrong?" she said sitting beside her.

Stirred from her deep thoughts, the lady on the bed sat up and looked at her friend with a cute frown on her face.

"Ne Ryo-chan, how does a kiss taste like?" she asked with pure innocence.

"Hah?" Her jaw dropped with her friend's weird question.

"You see, I'm curious. Hana from Math class say it's sweet and intoxicating while Lin says it's wet and a bit disgusting. Then they go on debating, I can't ask my question." Her brows knitted as if to emphasize her confusion.

Without even thinking of the consequences of her action, Ryo-chan pressed their lips together. It was hesitant and brief but for her, it felt like heaven.

Wide-eyed and even more confused, Tatchan has her fingers on her lips looking at her roommate and friend with blush on her cheeks. "Why... did you... kiss me?"

"I... Well, you were curious," she said with hand gestures which what she usually do when she's nervous. "You wanted to know, right? So, I kissed you... And I might have like you too." Ryo-chan said the last part in almost a whisper.

"Heeh~~" Tatchan said throwing her arms around Ryo-chan's neck. "I like Ryo-chan too. And I like Ryo-chan to kiss me everyday."

Ryo-chan almost palmed her face but Tatchan said she likes her. Who is she to complain. She smiled brightly and kissed her again.

Ueda Tatsuya. Successful businessman. Heir of a big company. A ladies man. And one of Japan's most eligible bachelor.

But Mrs. Ueda isn't amused. "I'm telling you, Tatsuya! You will not inherit the company until you've settled down and produced an heir," she gave her ultimatum.

"Mama," Tatsuya said unfazed while lounging on the sofa. "If you want grandchildren, say so. You can even pick what blood mix you like." He dodged in time so that the pillow his mother threw at him won't hit him in the face.

"I don't want a bastard for a grand child. And if I want a puppy, I can go to a pet store and buy one," she said throwing another pillow at her son. Her personal assistant approached and whispered in her ear. Tatsuya glares at them when he saw the smile on his mother's face.

"You are going on an omiai tonight," she said. There's no discussion whether Tatsuya wants to attend it or not. Mrs. Ueda's words are law ever since his husband passed away and the burden of running the company was transferred to her.

Tatsuya plays with his phone to kill boredom. His mother sitting serenely beside him. They haven't been in the restaurant for long. Just a couple of minutes when the other party arrived.

They stood up to greet them but Tatsuya's eyes turned into slit once he realized who his omiai partner was.

"Mother, I do respect you. But I didn't know that you would choose a midget to be my bride," he said mockingly while the girl glared back.

"Father, don't you think it will be bad if your grandchildren will look like donkeys?" she bites back.

"That is if I would even think of sleeping with a monkey!" Tatsuya retorted.

"Tatsu! Ryo-chan! Enough!" Mrs. Ueda reprimanded them.

The older man chuckled while helping Ryo-chan to sit. "You two haven't changed you're still fighting like cats & dogs. I think this arrangement will be amusing."

The rest of the night flew by with Tatsuya and Ryo-chan kicking each other's shin under the table while their parents talk about marrying off their children.

"Tatsu, drive Ryo-chan home, will you?" Mrs. Ueda said sweetly but he knows his mother isn't asking. He doesn't have a choice but to follow her "request".

After they bid their goodbyes, Tatsuya walked off with Ryo-chan following behind. Still a gentleman, Tatsuya held the door while the lady sat gracefully inside.

Seated behind the wheel, Tatsuya was startled when he heard a sniff beside him.

"What's wrong with you now? Sad because your daddy isn't going home with you?" It was a second nature to tease each other. Tatsuya can't help it.

"Do you really hate me that much?" she mumbled in between her sobs.

"I... Yeah, I did," Tatsuya answered.

"What have I ever done for you to hate me so much?" Ryo-chan was angry now. She can't even think why he would hate her. She likes him dammit!"

"Don't use that tone on me! I have every right to be angry! You chose Yamashita over me!" Tatsuya said exasperated.

"Wha-- Huh? When? Why would I choose him over you. You're the one I love not him!" Ryo-chan put a hand over her mouth realizing what she just said.

Smirking, Tatsuya leaned closer to her. "Really? Then why did you became his date for the prom?"

"Because I thought you will never ask me. There are a lot of girls vying for your attention. You will never look at me that way because we're always fighting," she said with a small voice.

"Stupid Midget!" he said teasingly before giving her the sweetest, mind-numbing kiss she'll ever experience.

He stepped back just in time to see a fist flew to his face. He was thankful that he got into boxing and his reflexes are excellent.

"What the fuck, Nishikido!" he growled when he realized who threw the punch. But the smaller man isn't letting up and threw another jab. Tatsuya leaned back, the fist missing a few centimeters. "What the hell is your problem," he asked when Ryo still didn't answer.

"You're my problem!" Ryo shouted swinging his left fist. He hates that Tatsuya only dodges and doesn't even throw a counter punch.

Exasperated, Tatsuya grabbed both of Ryo's fist. "Then tell me what's wrong! Don't go punching me out of nowhere! I thought we're friends--"

"That's my problem!" Ryo cut in. "I don't want to be your friend!"

"Then fucking tell me straight in the face!" Tatsuya spatted pushing Ryo on the ground and walked away.

Unfortunately, Ryo isn't done nor is he backing down. He grabbed Tatsuya's jacket and slammed him on the wall. "I hate you," he said voice dripping in venom.

"Why?" Tatsuya asked gripping the hands that's fisted on his collar.

"Because you only see me as a friend. You don't see how much I love you!"

"And... CUT!" The director shouted. "That's a wrap people!"

The two men on the wall straightened up and bowed towards each other politely. "Otsukare," they told each other. Turning to the staff, they said their thanks and congratulations for a job well done. The filming is now over. It's up to the editors to put the scenes together and make it look good.

There was a knock on the door while Tatsuya was packing his things. "Come in," he called out without lifting his head from the bags he was packing.

"Ueda, the staff are going out for a drink. Are you coming?" the person asked.

Before Tatsuya can even answer, his phone rang. Signalling for his co-star to come in, he answered his phone.

"Hi baby! Yes, we're done. I missed your cooking. I'd be home soon." He hang up and turned to his companion.

"Sorry, Nishikido. My wife's waiting back home. I'll see you around." Nishikido nodded with a smile. Hoisting his bags on his shoulder, he clapped Ryo's back and the two walked out talking about the last day of filming.
