OH GOD.
I spent the night in Chicago last night, and now, after leaving around 9pm, I've arrived in Amana, Iowa.
I've been here before. You see, my cousins live several miles east in Iowa City. During a wedding three (?) years ago my mother's cousin (I think that makes him my second cousin or something), his wife, and I took a field trip to Amana to see all the tacky tourist attractions it had to offer.
I got cheese here.
So I'm back. In a shitty motel room. Typing at 2:30 in the morning.
Tomorrow I get up early, get the complimentary buffet, and check out. Then drive to Denver where I'll be staying with some hippies I met on couchsurfing.com.
That's right. Then I'm doing it again in a place called Cedar City, Utah.
Then I'm driving to LA to celebrate Independence Day like a true Hollywood phony!
