I'm going to LA semi-permanently on Thursday. It's pretty exciting. I will be carless, computerless, and jobless, meaning that I will be at the mercy of my friends.
I do have the end of High School lined up out there, but they don't know when they'll be starting it. That'll be a fun surprise.
I'm very excited to be in warm weather, see my friends, do creative things, meet cool new people, and always have something to do. It's not like moving will automatically make me happy, but many of the things are in place. And even if I don't like it I can just move away. That's a good feeling.
The thought of moving makes me feel really bogged down by stuff. I don't want to move more than a car-full. Computer, some clothes, some books, guitar, amp (maybe). I got rid of a lot of things when I moved from Mount Pleasant, and that felt really good. I'll be leaving a lot of stuff in Michigan.
I did stand-up at The Bean's open mic. It went over really well. I got a lot of compliments. I don't think people were expecting it. I'm looking forward to (and I'm horrified by the prospect of) performing in LA venues.
Things are pretty sweet. If you Michigan motherfuckers want to hang out before I go, then feel free to call me or email me or facebook me or whatever.
LOVE,
PAULY "TAMALE" ISAKSON
