An online group was discussing which characters from television they would like to have meet up, like the fanfiction I read in which “Firefly” meets “Star Trek: TNG.”
Off the top of my head, I thought of Doctor Johnny Fever (WKRP) and Mr. Spock, but now I’m thinking I’d also enjoy watching a conversation between Sheldon Cooper and Barney Stinson, the ultimate memory v. the ultimate inventor. I also once wrote a fanfic crossover between “Star Trek: Voyager” and “Battlestar Galactica” that included a boxing match between Kara Thrace and Lt. Torres. Frankly, I prefer to imagine the ending of “Battlestar Galactica” as their last jump landing them in orbit around Earth and they are greeted by the voice Captain Picard welcoming them to the UF of P, but that’s just me. Of course, I also once rewrote the seventh season of “Buffy” so it made more sense, but that’s not on topic.
