Earlier this week I got Harvey on netflix. I do so enjoy that movie. To be honest I enjoy most of Jimmy Stewart's work quite a bit. But Harvey is one of my favorites. I also got the remake of it that they did in 1990, with Harry Anderson (judge from Night Court) as Elwood and Leslie Nielson as Dr. Chumley. The remake was good, different, more like watching a recorded play, but good on it's own. I still saw the original playing behind every scene while I watched though. I have even had occasion to emulate Elwood P. Dowd this week at work, and it has not gone unnoticed. Just now I passed 15 minutes eating an angel food pound cake (I just can't remember what it was called) and chatting with a very nice lady whom I had heretofore only said hi to in the hallway. It was very pleasant. I don't think that I will be able to continue such a strolling, peaceful manner come Friday night, but it has been a nice change of pace while it has continued.
