Warlight

I haven’t been able to download my favorite Internet game recently; Warlight is the only Internet game I play, actually. The other computer games I play are the basics like chess, hearts, and minesweeper, which come free with the computers. It was frustrating not to be able to play Warlight, which is basically like RISK except you can play on a variety of maps, such as the European theater of WWII, Europe 1600 AD, Tolkien’s Middle Earth, The Song of Ice and Fire novels, and odd places in the United States. Why someone would turn New Jersey into a war zone is beyond me. It has difficulty levels, such as being able to play against two teamed opponents, or having a friend of yours playing as your teammate.

But it’s probably for the best that I can’t play anymore. I’d already figured out how to consistently beat the computer, so it was getting a little boring, yet I couldn’t quite stop playing on my own. I certainly read more news off the Internet now, which can be depressing, of course, but at least it is leaving me fairly confident that Obama will be re-elected, as the choices in the GOP are shaping up to between a guy who made his fortune helping companies send American jobs over seas and another whose sexual politics will remind women why being feminists is still important.
