dude, when smoking pot, u build up a resistance, and need more and more, just to get the same high. do not tell someone that they sholdn't be talking about the negatives of pot just because they have not tried it. and your comparison to "a black friend" is pretty weak. sure, there's assumptions invovlved in both, but honestly, c'mon. there's such things as "smart" risks and "stupid" risks. inhaling any kind of smoke into your lungs is bad. ever seen the ambulences at the site of a fire, there just to treat people who have inhaled smoke into their lungs? i remember when i was young, my cousin had burned her hands quite badly on smoke, she had them wraped in bandages for some time, and could not use them. i do believe, as far as i can remember, that the skin on the outside of the body, especially the hands and feet, is quite more "durable" than that inside the body, particularly the lungs. think about that next time you take a puff

My friend, not all stoners are stupid and believe it or not, there are ways of smoking which don't even use smoke:

vaporizers, completely safe. Look them up if you don't belive me.

And then of course, any smoke passed through water exists at a lower temperature (especially if it's ice water) and less carcinogens are found in smoke at lower temperature, its also much less harmful to your lungs.

Oh yeah, ps, that resistance you were talking about? Doesn't exist. Welcome to reverse tolerance my friend, you need much more weed to get high the first time. MUCH more. I barely need any nowadays, even when its been weeks. What you do build up is THC in your bloodstream, which is activated faster the more there is.

So, as I said to paul, don't go making judgements of something you don't know very much about. Sure there's all the stuff you learn in school about why you shouldn't do it, but that tolerance stuff? Completely off the ball. There is a wealth of information that you don't even know exists.

Again, the "if you haven't tried it, you can't understand" logic. Try rape. How can you possibly understand the rapist's thrill of power if you haven't tried it?

That logic is *not* logic. No maybe Paul doesn't completely understand what you experience on pot, but he doesn't *have* to to say that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. He's using *reason* not subjective experience. In the adult world, that counts for more.
