I'm here in COS (Colorado Springs, CO) visiting with my son, Dylan. He's finished his term with the Army and transitioning back to civilian life, eg, getting comfortable walking around without a 7 lb
M4 hanging from his shoulder and driving on the right side of the road. Since his Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) was driving fueling trucks, he's applying to the nearby airports for work as a aircraft fueler. It's not a career, but it will pay the rent until his long-term plans firm up.
One thing COS has in visible excess is traffic enforcement. No doubt due in part to the presence of both the Army's Fort Carson base and the Air Force Academy and the concomitant excess of young men, testosterone, alcohol, and performance automobiles. I'm in no hurry so I just enjoy the show.
