Friday: went over to Phil's house to get reacquainted with some old friends. It felt like I hadnt really left. Things went back to normal right away. Met a lot of new and interesting people. Conversations were great...ranged from this to that and then back to this again. It was definitely an interesting brew of personalities and past histories. Started off the night with my best friend Chivas Regal. Does no one else like the taste of whiskey straight? The stomach was empty so after a glass of whiskey I was feelin pretty goodness. Then came some strange shots that came from people I didnt even know. But how do you refuse shots? I mean, really, unless you gotta go soon time...shots are always a welcome friend. I remembered a game of darts with a twist. Pieces of paper were stapled to the dartboard with commands like "you must participate: two girls kiss, two guys kiss. you decide"...."shooters"...."run dice"....etc. and by "etc" I mean "etc". Smoked some...then smoked some more. Then Faraldo came and we smoked some more more. BOOM. The stomach started yelling at me. The brain was spinnin. Walked over to the Fajita and chicken counter. got my fill. Best fajita ever? Sour cream, salsa scrapage, cheese, lettuce, tostitos and doritos nacho cheese. Ghetto fajitas are delicious.
Clive: Yo, Marco do you still have my football?
Marco: Yeah, its in my car.
Everyone: Let's fuckin play....RIGHT NOW!!
walked over to the nearest school. Played some football. My team sucked but we got to within ONE touchdown of Brian's team. If you've ever played against Brian...you know its gonna get heated. Got miself a touchdown and a touchdown pass. My team's attempt at a last play comeback got wrenched by the fact that it was 4am and freezing cold. Left soon after.
Pamela and Di were nearly passed out on the couch when I got home. I ate some of their leftovers...not enough apparently. Watched clips off Family Guy episodes. Rock Lobster is a great song. Trust. I even heard it on the radio the other night. Then headed off to bed. Yummy.
Saturday: Nothing. Supposed to watch Sideways w/ Di...but she fell ill and needed to rally her white blood cells. Reached bob's house and made some burgers and fries. Holy shit...my fries are the best! You gotta cut them with love...then fry em like you hate em. Late night: Mark and Tanya came over. We smoked and laughed. She brings up how the pillars in the front porch should have a fence connecting them. That conversation went on too long. Roleplays of what COULD happen if there was a fence there and why one is needed.
Sunday: Fists of Flurry 3 shoot day. Di was at my house at 10am...woke me up. Got ready. Gathered the boys and we were off to the Rouge River. I forgot just how fun it was to shoot a short film. It was cold and rainy. But somehow we were out there for over 6 hours. Di, you rock! Thanks for waiting patiently. We shot Di's part at around 4:30pm. My professor told me thats the motto of the film industry "hurry up and wait". But anyway...'twas fun. Had some Swiss Chalet courtesy of Jan and Brian right after the "victory joint". We all split up and planned to meet at jan's house to review the footage. I fell asleep on the couch. I woke up close to midnight...reached over to Mark's house. Reviewed the footage. INSANE. This movie looks sooo beautiful. Im excited. Smoked. Watched some insane ass music videos from Mark's collection. Insane. Then watched Batman Begins. Insane. I was fighting sleepage towards the end so I need to watch it again. Drove home feeling super tired. Reached the bed close to 4am. Did some thinking. Thought some thoughts. Came to no conclusion.
Monday:
I get a weekend even tho im unemployed. Back to job searching. I gotta feel like Im being productive. Clean the house, walk the dog, send out some resumes, cook some food and Im done. I love Mondays....for now.
