I don't mind the .NET platform, or the C# language, but I am developing a deep and abiding hatred of Visual Studio 2008.

Someone needs to sit people at microsoft down and show them examples of PRODUCTS THAT WORK, then point out some PRODUCTS THAT DON'T WORK, and then persuade them to notice the difference, and apply that understanding to their own jobs.  Nobody seems to be taking the issue of stuff that works vs. stuff that doesn't work into consideration in that department.

Also, Paint Shop Pro 8.  Yeah, I know they're up to 11 now, but I'm not going to pay $$ to upgrade from 8 to 11, when all they accomplished by upgrading from 5 to 8 was to break everything that used to function clearly and straightforwardly.  The damn thing can't even draw a circle that's round anymore.  I should just reinstall 5 for when I need to paint anything, assuming there isn't yet some affordable competitor that can clear out the bad taste entirely.

On the positive front, I found EmEditor.  It's like TextPad only half the size and twice the value.
