So in Sarah Palin, the GOP has picked someone who combines the callow unreadiness of a Dan Quayle with the cold-hearted meanness of a Dick Cheney. But she sure fires up the base with her attacks on Obama. Maybe next time they'll just go ahead and put Ann Coulter on the ticket.
