Came home from Chesterfield last night after being stuck on the A1(M) for way too long to find our electricity out. Eventually established that the connection between our house and next door was no more (a daft set-up if you ask me). NEDL came out quickly and courtesy of some drilling and a big wire running through into next door we now have power, but are expecting NEDL back any day now to put a new line in - involving much digging of our drive and possibly our kitchen. Boh. So much for our cunning plan of a cocktail do this weekend.
