I received that book for my high school graduation and LOVED it! I agree that it is a must, even if you aren't an American or familar with American history. Its a good lesson for all of us, to learn to look at people for who they are on the inside, not on the outside. Its such a tragic book, and yet so amazing. I can see why it is one of your favorite!

What a great graduation present. Too bad you didn't receive it earlier on in your childhood though. Had you heard of it before then? Who gave it to you?

But that's what I love about it; the fact that you don't need to be an American to know and understand the story and love it. It appeals almost to all types of people, that's part of the reason this book is so amazing.

I think it came at a good time for me, since then I was able to appreciate it more. I don't know what I would of thought of it had I read it sooner.;) I had heard of it before, but didn't know how I liked it.
My mum's cousin gave it to me. Then, she sent her second favorite book to Bethany, Watership Down. I got the better end of the deal.:)
Yes, it is a simply amazing book! I whole heartedly agree.:)

That's good it came at the right time for you then.
What is Watership Down about?
I'm glad you agree with me about 'To Kill A Mocking Bird' as being an amazing book.

Oh, and big purses are in this Spring, so yours will be perfect. Along with smocks and leggings, bright colors. You girls should fit right it!

Hmmm sounds interesting. lol :)

Hooray, so I guess that USA is only just beginning to catch up with the Aussies. lol Perhaps our fashion is more following Europe's style. :)
I checked out GAP online (which is an American clothing brand/store I'm guessing) and I saw that the fashions were quite similar to Australia. :D

Oh and I have to tell you (I think I'll do an update) that there have been some changes of immediate plans concerning our trip to America. We will be coming over there this year but a little later on. :) I'm content. I believe that God's in control and has a little plan of His own up His sleeve, as He always does. lol

I would say that middle America is finally catching up with Brissy. lol. I would say that your fashion is along the lines of California.;) Who knows? I'm not really good at following fashion! I've just been trying to pay attention since I knew you would be interested with coming over soon.
What did you think of GAP? They have some fun styles! Its been ages since I last went there..;)

How sad that it will be a bit later this year! I shall look forward to your coming, whenever it is. Isn't it a comfort to know that it is in the Lord's hands? Except, now I will have to continue keeping on fashion... lol. Just kidding!
Do you think you could get Skype? "Talking" on here is lovely, but I miss hearing your voice! Posting back and forth just isn't the same.;)
I shall look forward to the update!

Oh I see...so middle America is rather behind?? lol

I hope I'm not beginning to sound like a fashion freak and a girl who only thinks of fashion and her outward appearance. It was just that I found it interesting gleaning all the info on America I could while I had you girls over here and I guess since we were traveling to the US I wanted to find out about the fashion too. :)

I thought the GAP had some really cute things.

I did get Skype and I added you I thought. Its just that these day's I haven't had much of a chance to have the computer downstairs (with the speakers etc) free since everyone's moving around being really loud and the boy's are always on there. But I'd LOVE to talk to you and hear your voice again so I'll just have to make some adjustments. lol
xoxo
P.S And I'm sorry that I haven't been commenting on your and Bethany's journals lately. I have been reading some of them I just haven't had time to sit down and comment. :(
