Pretty much everything about Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me cracks my shit up. It's one of my favorite things about weekends.
This week went by freakishly quickly. I don't really know why. I went to a fun mini-party on Valentine's, where we had some champagnes that I liked a lot, chocolate fondue and strawberries (of course), and we watched The Truth About Love, which features a lot of hilariously deep female voices including Jennifer Love Hewitt's. Nothing like that kind of entertainment to inspire one to answer the phone with a very shemale-y "hellooo" :D
I got a ridiculous homework assignment from my Systematic Zoology professor. We're given a list of 5 species and descriptions of 4 characters for each of them and we're supposed to make a dichotomous key for distinguishing between them. The stupid part is that they're all different colors to begin with, so it should be pretty easy to tell which species ya got there. He gave us a week to get over that fact and complete the stupid thing anyway.
It's been freezing for the past few days, with below-zero temps that actually feel like twenty degrees colder. As I lay in bed listening to the weather report this morning, the announcer said something about '-10 degrees, feels like -30; people are encouraged to go outside as little as possible' and I thought "Holy fuck!! But okay!" So I stayed me in bed for a couple hours more.
I got restless later, and unfortunately realized that I had $300 set aside for a nonexistent month's rent, so I went on a wee shopping spree. It took me three hours but I only bought some cheap sweat pants and two cute shirts. I also looked at some shoes b/c I've been wanting to get some and Julie even pointed out that I haven't gotten new ones in years. I wanna get these cute brown ones from Target but they're so thin that the thought of wearing them outside nowadays sounded.. horrible. I probably should have just gone to the gym like I meant to. It's okay, waterpolo tomorrow! Erg, I guess that'd be today. At any rate, it's exercise, woohoo! Omg, I'm going to be swimming when it's >20 degrees out.
I know, I used a pic of myself as an icon, the primary symptom of Internet Disease. Really I want Trinity, but this one from a Halloween party is one of the few pics I have at all that aren't taken from the internet, and I don't have any of her at all. Until I borrow my mom's digital, that is; then I'll swiftly have millions<3<3<3.
I simply felt that I was wasting the gift of a paid account that stupid Cristina gave me, which will force me to scour the internet for hours at a time looking for suitable images to convey that which is me. Thanks a lot, skankho! Also, I was passing by Braiden the other day and as I skidded around in the icy snow in front of it, it occurred to me that I'd actually had tolerable times there only a year ago. But thanks to a certain lame departure I now have to contemplate CSU's whopping 12% of diversity all by myself without the benefits of unlimited pasta and desserts. I hope you're happy!
Hmm, it's 2am already. Maybe I should get some early-ish sleep and spend a good part of my day studying for my Monday exam. Or I could stay up and finish rereading Memoirs.
