It's Friday again! And tomorrow is NOD at Rice, but I probably am not going (I don't think I would look that good not wearing much at all). I don't know, it's just not me. I probably have enough homework on my plate to keep me busy anyways. But we'll see.
Well, today I left Rice at around 12 and went to Borders to look for a book I have to read a portion of for my Spanish class. They didn't have it at Borders, so I drove all down Westheimer to a Barnes & Noble where I finally found and bought it. Then I called my friend Angel and he said to come over to his house. As usual, he was still getting ready by the time I got there. I guess that's just Angel. Anyhow, Glenn called him and he invited us to take a look at the new house he bought. It was very nice. Angel showed me around. Glenn is even planning on installing an elevator. That's pretty neat.
After leaving Glenn's house, we headed to the Galleria because we were both hungry. Angel and I met with Jhonny (no, it is NOT a typo) and we went to have eat at Bennigan's. Then we went to Nordstrom's because Angel felt he needed some lotion for his face. He later decided he wasn't satisfied with his hair and wanted to buy some products from Tony & Guy. He is so complicated. He really takes care of his looks. Well, anyways, before long I had to take him back home so he could change into his work-out clothes. I dropped him off at the University Club at the Galleria and headed to the Apple Store myself to take a look at the new video iPod. I had been looking at it online, but seeing it in the store is really different. I had sort of decided I was going to wait until my birthday in December to buy it, but seeing it in the store just triggered something in me and I just had to buy it asap. Wow, I have no self-control! So I drove back home, logged on to apple.com, and made use of my student discount online. That's right, I ordered the 60GB video iPod, and I am not going to let anyone steal it from me again!
On another note, I don't know what's wrong with my car stereo. I think it's the tape player that's malfunctioning. I'll probably have to invest in an iTrip if I want to hear my iPod in my car when I get it. Sucks to be me. But at least I'll have my iPod again! In the meantime, I'm converting music videos for my iPod.
Anyways, life at Rice is still stressful. I have a lot of work due this coming week, including an assignment for Psychology as well as a debate, and an essay for Spanish. I am in the process of dropping my calculus class, though. I stopped attending my 9 a.m. class as of this week. I was dying, I swear. I tried taking 17 hours, but I just couldn't make taking Physics, Chemistry, and Calculus at the same time work. Still, I'm going to focus on improving my grades in Chemistry. I have yet to pass a Chemistry exam. Thank God for redemption points.
