I have a tired brain.

Today I spent a lovely day in New York with Katie (98% drama free!). I would say more about it if I weren't so frickin' tired now. But I would encourage anybody to check out this random-ass park that's built on a platform extending out onto the Hudson, enjoy the beautiful view of New Jersey across the water, and then lie down on the soft, soft astroturf lawn for a spell in order to dodge the windchill. Preferably with somebody you seriously dig.

Totally different note: This is amusing. And, on the subject of astroturf, apparently "astroturfing" is clever political jargon for faked grassroots support. So clever!

Another note: Last night after Darmstadter Rockrimmon the Younger's LAN party I had a more open and personal talk with Dale than I've had in...possibly ever. Relationships and religion were the topics--it doesn't get any deeper than that. It went well. Again, I'd say more, but I'm tired!

Tired but happy. What a nice day! Seriously. I'm not doing it justice because I don't know how to describe in words that amazing look that's sometimes in her eyes.

p.s. What the fuck? This is the second time in the past three days that Mom has surprised me by turning out to be still wide awake after 1 AM. I feel like she's getting younger and younger by the day.
