3 things about the T

1. This girl who I sort of know from my dorm last year was on my plane and tried to peer pressure me into taking a taxi from the airport with her and two other people. The only time I've taken a cab from the airport was with this girl last year and it cost thirty bucks. (!) I said 'no, I'm really broke. I think I'm just going to take the T.' and she was all "it would only be ten dollars but okay..." trailing off she walked away. I count this as a victory because this girl makes me uncomfortable.

2. The Maverick stop is after the Airport stop on the blue line, and all the returning college students were huddled over their suitcases. A family got on the T, and the grandfather- in an odd display of public transportation friendliness- shouted "Where are you going?!" to a girl. She said "I'm going back to school," and he shouted "MEXICO?!"

3. I was standing with my suitcase and the guy next to me pointed out an empty seat. I said I was fine, but then a stop later the seat right next to me opened up, and I really wanted to sit in it, but felt like I couldn't since I had refused that other one. I wanted that guy to get off the T so that I could sit down, but he rode for like, five more stops. Then I got to sit down. Is this polite or retarded?

I love when people smile to themselves while riding the T.
