Happy Fun Time!

Just here to give everybody the scoop on the Baylor Guys' trip to see Katy at TCU yesterday (Saturday)

We had an awesome time! We got up there at about....uh....11:30 AM or so and just did all sorts of crazy foolishness till like 10:00 PM. Joe, Jake, Derek, and I all went, for those who don't know. Derek handled the sound track for the entire trip (kudos to Derek ^^). When we got there, we had a LOT of fun finding a parking spot, prolly on account of the TCU vs. SMU game that evening. But then we got to see around Katy's dorm, meet her roommate, check out her room, and we even saw Karen Herrero, who I didn't know went to TCU ^^

We ordered out pizza for lunch....which was entertaining because the lady at Dominoes (I think that's what it was) was a flipping idiot who was like "So...you're at TCU right.......are you even in Fort Worth?" LOL! Plus, Katy's dorm's entrance doesn't even face the street, so it must have been heck for the delivery guy to decipher all this from the idiot phone lady.

Then we all went to the zoo, which was a lot of fun. How can it not be fun when you get to see chimps eat their own feces? Or when every trash can in the entire zoo, bar none, is infested with bees? Or when Katy tries to get us to photograph a bronze alligator kissing her bum with like 10 five year olds watching (I must have been as red as a beet when she was doing that.....*sigh*). We had lots of laughs and all got our exercise for the day out there.

Then we went downtown and just wandered looking for stuff to do....and failed miserably. Which kinda sucked, but once again, we got lots of walking in. In the end....I parked for free in a ticketed garage, BOTH theaters we tried weren't showing Napoleon Dynamite, and we ate at Subway rather that all the super high class steak houses and italian places right next door :P. Plus we all got to laugh a Katy getting freaked out when we took the slightly scenic route to downtown (AKA the way she's never been before and will never go again, I bet, lol). Real men don't ask for directions ^^.

Finally, we went quite a ways from there to find this mall that Katy thought had a movie theater that might show Napoleon Dynamite....and it did, which rocked. But the show was like 45 minutes away, so we walked around the mall for a while. Katy went into Victoria's Secret....Joe and Derek followed....Jake and I found a bench, LOL! After that silliness was over, we went into a store and found something awesome for someone, who will remain nameless. Lastly we went and saw Napoleon Dynamite, which was quite hilarious, admittedly on a sort of stupid level, but whatever. Yay for the simple funny stuff we love! Then we took Katy home and headed back to good ole BU.

All in all, a great way to spend a Saturday! I had a lot of fun, and I think everybody else did too. Road trips are awesome!
