Snow way!

So this is going to be a bit of a rant but hey.

First is snow, it has snowed in Durham, in fact it is now snowong in Durham. The ducks at mildert don't seem to mind but wbhoever it is that throws whole slices of bread onto the iced over lake to see them skid about may find themselves following the aforementioned bread if they aren't carefull.

Bloody hell it is now a blizzard!

So it snowed last night on my way to Wing Chun (Kung Fu). Kung Fu class is in Belmont, that is about 4 miles from mildert more or less. For those that know Durham, it is past gilesgate, past tescos, over the bridge above the A1 and then just down the road. It takes me about an hour to walk, in the snow.

I arrived at 7pm thinking that I was slightly late to find no-one there. "Oh" I thought, I then got changed and still no-one. So I run through some stretches and kicks, did elbow attack drill, blocks, a few combinations then ran through sui-lim-tao a few times, left at 7.30 no-one turned up.

Walked back. Some guys had a small arsenal of snowballs at the top of gilesgate bank. I'd seen them a way back and picked up a sizable rock. As I walked near them they picked up the snowballs, I just showed them the rock quite visably, tossed it in the air once and they waved back at me and let me past. I think the fact they were hiding behind their car may have had an effect.

Coming up to the union building and a gang of what I can only call the spittle of human existence were deciding on hailing snowballs from a foot away from anyone who came close to them. I glared at them and only one actually took a throw at me which was of course pityful, the guy threw from about five yards and missed me by ten. I then turned around and glared at him, to which he said "What you gonna do?" in a very southern accent. Despite the fact there were about six of them I stepped towards the cretin, I had missed my kung fu lesson and was wanting to get some practice in somehow. The guy ran away after his friends and I carried on walking. I had a bit of an urge to run dow the alley from church street to halgarth street and catch them from behind and kick the living crap out of them but thought better of it.

Now I'm sat in Beccy's room in Tyne watching the snow and waiting to see if I ever get an email confirming my cinema ticket booking. Gonna see Last Samurai in Newcastle since Gala decides only to show films for a week at a time before putting another on.

Why the hell did they close Robins cinema? Another crappy bar/cafe-bar was all that durham wanted! Walkabout! It's a shitty fake Australian dive! Fucking Durham, what a shit hole.

Ok time to refresh my email and see if I have at last got a confirmation.
