Oh, I’m overjoyed that you are getting at the heart of my interpretation of Remus! It’s so wonderful to learn that those lines I’ve composed manage to convey such fascinating complexity - as well as sensations of hunger and of satisfying it, as these issues are always important to me - and that my take on werewolf transformation makes such sense.

I’m also particularly glad that my Mundungus works for and appeals to you. I’ve just realised that I’ve forgotten to include in the heading my thanks to MrsFiggsCat (Sue) of The Snitch Forums. After my own best efforts (on the basis of a couple of dialogues in OotP) I received invaluable help from her in editing Mundungus’s lines (back in 2004). Without her expertise I could never have been able to indicate his Sahf Lundun (as Sue spelled it) accent in the some way as Rowling had done, while making him say what I wanted him to say. Now I’m not so sure it makes sense to make one character’s vernacular stand out like this, but I loved his scenes back then, and it’s lovely to believe that he became alive in them.

Thank you so much for your elating feedback. When I got to check my email during the trip to Italy, it was lovely to see once again that you had continued to enjoy the story.
