Oh, I’m thrilled you’ve started to read this story, and thank you so much for coming to post such lovely feedback!

It’s reassuring to hear that this can work as a satisfying alternative to HBP. I was disappointed with Remus’s small role and the few words he said to Harry (like “How are you?”) as soon as in OotP, and I realised that in order to see more of my favourite character and to know him in more depth and dimensions I needed to narrate his life from his own perspective. His closeness with Harry does not always develop smoothly in this story either, and we won’t see him interact with Harry in every chapter, but the relationship will develop.

I’m particularly happy that you’ve given a deeper meaning to the very first contact Remus has here, in the opening scene. I’ve had some doubts, too, whether it was wise to replace Stan with an OC and whether that scene served any purpose beyond showing how pathetically poor my Remus was. It’s wonderful to know that it can convey to a reader something about my Remus’s character as well as his thoughts about the status of part-humans.

In this story there will be a lot to get absorbed in. If you truly continue to have the chance and interest, I’ll be looking forward to small comments at least, so I’ll know when you’ve read the chapters I’ve posted here - and I’ll be more motivated to soon post each following chapter after another read-through. Thank you again, also for your words about my fanfic in leochi’s journal!
