I agree with Jen. On loving others, it's hard to put yourself out there, and risk getting hurt. I understand. And you might be hurt a few times before you find the person you're supposed to be with, who God intends you to be with. But isn't it better to get hurt than to sit back and let your life pass you by as you stay in your safety zone? A lot of men are assholes and losers, but there are just as many that are like you, afraid to be hurt, and wanting to find the right girl.
You are right; love is NOT comfortable, most times. It's evaluating the things you dislike against the things that attracted you initially. There are some things that Travis does that drive me crazy, and I'm SURE that there are many things I do that irritate the crap out of him. But I can look past those 'flaws', and see that those things don't matter, compared to what he has given me.

What I'm trying to say is, you will know when it's worth it, because you will be sure of yourself in the decision. Your personality will attract the right person. I have always believed that there's no reason to actively pursue Mr. Right. I believed that God would bring me to him when the time was right, and He did. Humans are not fully capable of unconditional love, but the love for our families and the love for our significant others comes close.
