I don't understand why anyone would ever want to date someone they wouldn't want to be friends with.
please share this logic with the random dude I met the other night who tracked me down on facebook to ask me out. because when I said, "sure! let's hang out! I hope you like board games and Dr. Who marathons!" with a sidenote of me having no romantic interest in him because boys are yuckypoopoo and have cooties, he was like, "oh, well maybe I'll see you around." with a sidenote of him pretending like he had suspected I wasn't into dudes (but if he had suspected it he wouldn't have asked me out in the first place).
if someone who seemed cool enough that I'd want to track them down and ask them out said, "not dating, but let's hang out anyway!" I'd be like, "HELL YES NEW FRIEND!"
