Tonight we decided it was time to try something new so i got creative and made a new recipe.
This time i documented it as i cooked so i could repeat it
It came out good and Nonny wanted me to post it here so it would be saved.
Cornish Hens With Plum Sauce Recipe
3 Rock Cornish game hens
1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
2 cups orange juice
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon crystalized ginger
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons yellow mustard
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
3/4 cup water
1 9.2 oz jar Kikkoman plumsauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon garlic, -- minced
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 table spoons honey
Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Combine orange juice, butter, ginger, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, soy sauce, lemon juice, water, oyster sauce, garlic, honey, pepper, and plumsauce in a pan.
Blend well. Simmer, stirring frequently, for 15 minutes.
In a large bowl marinate 10 minutes.
Transfer hens to a baking dish, and cover with the marinade mix.
sprinkle with lemon-pepper seasoning and perhaps a dash of salt.
Basting frequently with the marinade mixture,
Bake for 75 minutes, or until exterior of the hens are browned and crisp, the interior is no longer pink, and juices run clear.
Place hens on plates over rice.
serve with marinade as dipping sauce.
