Dear Game Developers,

In 1997 I was playing PC games at 60fps and loving it. F-Zero on N64 game out and was 60fps and silky smooth. Today we've invented 120 and even 240hz TVs. Why, at the same time, did we decide that it was acceptable to go from trying to maintain a minimum of 30fps in games to so many games seeming to be 24fps or 20fps?

Even Insomniac, who gave me the beautiful 60fps Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction admitted that they gave up on 60fps "because it doesn't improve review scores."

Seriously, I just played the demo for the new Castlevania game, and the combination of low frame rate (as in, maybe 20-24? Definitely wasn't 30) and fast paced action was literally making my eyes water. It was uncomfortable.
