Well the sun has finally come out in France. And like any good Brit abroad I’ve done the nation proud by going a lovely shade of burnt. It wouldn’t be so bad just being a bit red but I’ve gone and made myself look ridiculous. I bought some suncream while I was in England which cost 10 pounds. 10 pounds! As a result I was being careful with it when I went and laid in the sun. I put some on my chest and shoulders which aren’t so bad but I didn’t think I’d need any on my legs and I forgot about my feet. I mean, who’d have thought your feet could burn? Not only that, but I was in one position for the whole two hours that I was out and so the parts of my legs and feet which weren’t facing the sun are still white leaving me with a lovely line down my legs.

As I mentioned, I bought my suncream while I was in England last weekend. As usual I took the Eurostar across on which I experience my first ever delay. It was because of a suspicious package on the platform at Paris so it was understandable. What wasn’t understandable was that noone warned us that the authorities were going to blow it up. The people waiting in the queue got quite a shock when we heard the explosion.

I went to see Adam in Farnham and we had a nice few days. There was a French market which I got far too excited about considering I had just come from France where I would be able to buy exactly the same products and more for at least half the price. We also had a decent but tiring night out in London on Monday night. We went to Porn Idol at G-A-Y. I’d never been before and it was fun enough though I was very surprised at how busy it was for a Monday. The best entrant won too which is good. The one drawback is that G-A-Y is filthy. Literally, I mean. I sat on the stage and got chewing gum stuck to my nice new jeans and ended up with a big black stain down the back of a yellow t shirt that I was wearing. The stain has come out; the chewing gum hasn’t.
