Okay, so I have been a major lj disser - I realize I have a lot to make up for. I have been super busy at work. It’s just how it is. I am always busy at work. Of course, not too busy to read other people’s journals but that’s a different story. And if I am busy at work I don’t update my journal.
We have been on vacation. It was so fun and so awesome to actually go on vacation in my home country. I have been wanting to go to BC for ages and that dream came true. Yay! We were in Enderby for four nights with Geoff’s family. Enderby is at the north end of the Okanagan Valley. It’s on the Shushwap River which actually was very much appreciated by all when it became a necessity because of the heat. Too hot? Just go for a dip in the river or a float down the river. When the fun was over Geoff, Keva and I took off on our own adventure. We decided to go see the Pacific Ocean. So Geoff drove us all the way to Horseshoe Bay where we took the ferry to Nanaimo. From Nanaimo Geoff kept driving straight across the Island to Ucluelet - the most charming fishing town ever. We arrived at 2:00 a.m. and seriously got the last hotel room in town. It was a sleepy place. When we woke up the next morning we were greeted by a spectacular view of the harbor. If you walked out a bit further you could see a bay surrounded by hills and engulfed in fog. It was breath-taking. I didn’t want to leave. We did a lot there in that day - drove up to Tofino, did an interesting rain forest hike to the North shore of Long Beach (very secluded very mystical), went further down Long Beach and watched some surfers and then drove back to Nanaimo so we could catch the 7:20 p.m. ferry back to Vancouver and back to Sandy, Geoff’s sister. We spent two nights in Vancouver. It was sunny and beautiful and lush and gorgeous and so many interesting wonderful things grow there - it was really great! I know it is rainy and depressing in Vancouver but man it is cool. I love it!
So I can’t ramble much because I actually have to get something done here but I have pictures to show. It will have to wait for next time because I must scan them. And to do that I need to get Geoff’s scanner hooked up. But first I must get our new desktop! Woowoo. I am excited….it should come next week. Here is a photo of the Okanagan Valley that I ripped off:
Before I go - here is a link to something hilarious. My coworker Engski (aka Justin) and I have been cracking up all week about this (even though the quality is poor).

(Kay I just tried the link and it doesn't work so too bad - search for it on Google...)
