I read entries at
sumoboy about the secret life of Arashi fan in Japanese office and I think that was funny. Never once I thought that would happen to me. I mean, I thought I was cool in my office since I have Sho calendar on my desk and my desktop is not-too-obvious Arashi wallpaper. I even discussed Arashi with Japanese colleague I met at meeting (of course, the chemistry was right so I decided to tell her my obsession. She even volunteered to buy me cds if I want - bless her).
Anyway, all happened yesterday during dinner reception for Japanese colleagues who are here for meeting.
S-san (Japanese): So is Korean drama famous here?
me: *in my thought* she's gonna talk about Yon-sama's drama for sure.
S-san: what's the name of that drama?
K-chan (Japanese): Winter love song.
me: That was aired a while ago. You know, now there is Japanese drama showing here. "Change" with Takuya Kimura.
S-san: Eh? I don't know that.
K-chan: OH! Have you heard about what happened to Tsuyoshi?
me: Yes, that was big news isn't it? with Tsuyopong (I even called his nickname - Whatthehell?!). My friend is a SMAP fan and she watched the show with Shingo apologizing...(realised that I slipped out too much of my inner fangirl).
S-san: SMAP is not good singers (LOL to S-san's frank comment)
K-chan: but they look good.
me: I think they are famous for their looks and their individual works.
(and that topic was changed quickly - THANKGOD)
I think I now understand that it is hard to remain a fangirl in professional world when you are surrounding by people who have direct or indirect connection with the people you like. This S-san person is actually from Japanese government organisation which I suspected that Sho's dad might have work or have partnership with this organisation. The other meeting I went last October, I met a guy who graduated from Keio High school and uni and trust me, I wanted to discuss about Keio with him so bad. But as you can see, I can't.
There's nothing I can do in my NGO world!
