small world?
Have u ever thinking how smll this world is? everyone knows everyone...not just ur friend is my friend but for the fact that u know someone who connect with someone (making sense?)
I was accompanying IPPF's regional director on her short visit to Bangkok (4 hours precisely) and as I was familiar with her, we discussed bits and bobs then she received phonecall. It was her daughter talking about her friend's dad in hospital bla bla blah. After she hung out, it turned out that the ill father is Dr.Mahathir Mohamad, ex-Prime Minister of Malaysia -- how boy, I know someone who is family's friend with high ranking person in another country. Not that I'm surprised as I later learned that Dr.Raj was high rank government officer before she joins IPPF (that's why she's so good with connection). Another good name-dropping situation is my friend who used to study in London was classmate with Sultan Brunei's daughter or niece (noone can confirm her identity, u know). Woah, high ranking eh?
Anyway, the point is...I'm sure everyone knows someone in important in their lives and it just makes me feel that those important people can be anyone.....it can be someone who has lj or it can be my friend or friend of friend in facebook...it just makes this world so small!
