the domestic goddess

Just like queen bee, there's only one goddess in the house and in my house....it's ME *HUAHAHAHHAHAHAHA*

I spend my last day of this super long weekend (5 days! can u believe that? celebrating Thai new year....ummmm i dig this) cooking something. I did Porkchop with mashed potato the other night (I cheated anyway, i bought already marinated porkchop) and there is some mashed left over so i was thinking of either making Croquette (mum digs this so much -- i reckon she watched TOO much Japanese Cooking Show as they cooked a lot of croquettes) or Cottage Pie (me digssssssssssssssssss -- LOVE IT SO MUCH). Anyway at the end of the day, for my mum's sake...i made croquette.

Got recipe from Allrecipe.com, it was a good recipe until i put an egg in it! The mashed went soft and gooey =*= so my croquette shape is a bit like a turd (bad comparison...i know *sigh*) But overall it tastes alright i s'pose. I was still full from my lunch (Sukiyaki set -- Japanese all the way! and a scoop of Banana and cheese ice cream) so i cant stuff that down yet. There will be some leftover i'm sure so I'll pack them as my lunch tomorrow at office.

Cooking western food is never hard for me, i dunno why but seems like i can please everyone with my cooking but if u talk about  Thai food, it's a different story. Thai food is toooooooooo hard to make it taste good. Too much condiments and people like different taste. I wouldnt be ashamed to say i'm very lousy at that. Although my cooking record with thai food has been great so far but that's only with Foreigners, I'm sure if any Thai tastes my food...they probably curse me and take my Thai passport away. Okay, it might not be that bad but i wish i can cook Thai food as good as i did with western stuffs!
