With hell week and move in day behind me i can now turn my focus to classes. i knew classes this semester would be rough. Ive had friends take these course and have failed them, and they were A, B students. This has me a little worried because i not only have to take all my 2-300 level core classes, but i am in sudden death mode. if i happen to fail a class (get below a 77) i would have to stay and extra semester. ok, so classes are going to be a little tough this semester, its ok i can handle it. it gets worse. 3 out of my 5 professors speak english as a 2nd language. the business department is notorious for hiring competent but ineffective foreign professors. ive had some good teachers whit foreign accents. as a matter of fact i can speak chinese broken english pretty well. But, when you are trying to look past the accents of a russian, peruvian and Filipino its hard to "adjust" your ears. You really have to put forth the effort to understand the professor.

Its been an pretty laid back week. once classes started i fell into a routine, which im going to try to keep. its amazing how motivated you are at the beginning of each semester. you schedule certain times to read, and stay on top of homework. 3 weeks from now i will have fallen behind in my reading. and its all uphill from there. ill enjoy a sense of accomplishment these next few weeks.

My little brother and sister start school next week. Sean sounds like he has a full head of steam. this is a huge turn around from a year ago. after working a year in the real world, he decided he needed to go back to school while he still could. Shannon's going to school, but i believe she is lost and confused. The usual questions that we all ask ourselves at this age. Good luck to both of them.

Small update on my aunt. Her condition has left her in a hospital bed all summer. she's had many many doctors and much more testing. no one could figure out what was wrong with her. her symptoms would show signs of one condition but the test results would prove negative. it turns out she has a very rare case of lymphoma. its aggressive nature has spread throughout her chest and into her brain, which has been affecting her mentality. only 4-5 cases of have ever been reported in the US. Now that the doctors know what it is, they can start treatment. good news is that this can be easily treated with time, and she has a good chance of mental stability.
