The movie Searching for the Wrong Eyed Jesus is good stuff.
But it is based on better stuff:

Granted, Seven Signs is 4 years younger than Searching for the Wrong Eyed Jesus, but I saw it first. Each delves into the creative, eccentric and unseen South.
Then I came across the photographer
Dave Jordano. Each film has a large focus on the small town and the spiritual and so does Jordano. He has a series of photos called Articles of Faith which are brilliant, not to mention his Prairieland series.
