Hey, Jude [poems 33/38?]

A/N: Mary's POV.

Hey, Jude

This life was not what I intended

But as you know,

Death has a way of changing those we leave behind

I wish you could know a mother’s embrace

A life of safety, not that of a soldier

Blind ignorance, some might say

Baby, I’d want you to lie in bliss

I wish that November was just

A passing of time,

Rather than the bitter reminder

Of something you’ll never have

That, you wouldn’t turn away from golden strands

With tears

But rather, that you’d embrace them

With your smile

supernatural poetry
