Have you ever had one of those moments where you were like, "this can't really be happening to me"? But in a good way, you know? Almost like its too good to be true. Or a moment where you are just immensely happy just to be alive? Joe and I talked alot about that this past summer on our trip. We would occasionally stop to "take stock" of our surroundings and just appreciate the moment. Like as we found ourselves judging a slam dunk contest in the shadow of a 15th century cathedral on the streets of Salzburg, Austria. Or the bike ride past windmills on the backroads of Holland.
I've been really thinking about stuff like this lately. I think its important to appreciate the little moments of life, those moments that are unforgettable. And just looking back, I've been blessed with a lot of those moments. UK basketball games are always an experience like that. And its always worth it to just drive around Lexington to the horse farms and just appreciate the beauty of nature. Or just being with good friends and sharing in good times.
It does sound really cliche, but those moments are truly special ones.
