Update on hubby, myself and our son

Okay, so here's where we are today, Saturday April 4 at 1:00 PM.

Ron is still in the hospital.  He had an endoscopy on Thursday and they found the problem:  a duodenal ulcer (a big one according to the doctor) that was bleeding.  It was cauterized, they gave him some meds and he's going to be in the hospital until at least Monday.  They can, believe it or not, find out what caused the ulcer (it could be bacterial) and we'll find that out asap.

I went to work on Friday and was having a good day until lunch time, when I was eating a nice green and healthy salad and broke the crown off of a back tooth.  Naturally I don't have a local dentist, so had to make an appointment in Springfield and had to find someone to cover for me at work since I work alone on Fridays.

Last night, Daniel complained of a tummy ache and couldn't eat his dinner.  By the time we got home, he was feverish (it went up to 101 degrees) and throwing up.  He went to bed by 8 pm, woke up this morning around 6:30 and took a shower and felt better.  I kept him home from his first soccer game....we ran a couple of errands, went to McDonald's for lunch and he ate a Happy Meal.  On the way to Springfield to see Ron, he started complaining again of not feeling well, so I called Ron to say that we weren't coming up after all.

So here we are.  Daniel got a new PS2 video game with his allowance money and he's playing that.  No fever as of now but he still feels yucky.  He also said he was sorry we couldn't go see his daddy, but I told him it wasn't his fault that he was sick, if he feels better later today, we can go then.  Or we can wait until after Mass tomorrow and see how he feels.

This is the week I want to FORGET.

*sigh*

I have been praying so hard this week to just get through the week, to please help my husband heal, to keep my family's faith strong....

Is it Monday yet?
