Hi.
You know, there is something comforting about writing on here. So i'm posting again. Enjoy, or criticize, either way.
Tonight Lee and I went to the Jazz Club on the river. It was interesting. Firstly, they weren't very good, but that was of no concern to me. There was something compelling and fun about these people. They were having such a good time. I love musicians you love what they're doing. Nothing beats that. Someone onstage getting the greatest kick out of it.
The highlight of the night however (besides Freddy Freeloader being played during a break) were the old dudes dancing. Oh my, they were fantastic. One guy, who Lee immediately swore was a character out of Thunderbirds, was by far the best. I think he danced with every doll at the club. My favorite was when he swung the girl around and then kicked the air. THE ENERGY!! It was awesome.
In other news, which I've already told some, I've been offered a real job. You know, like a 'grown up'. Everyone older and wiser than me has told me i'd be a fool not to take it and in all seriousness it's a pretty good job and opportunity, but in taking it, I kinda feel like i'll be signing myself over to the corporate world. This is something I loathe. It's the only doubt I have in my head at the moment. It's the only thing keeping me from screaming out 'YES! I'll take it', I don't know how long I'd last in a job thats sole purpose is making money or reducing loss. It's quite soulless. I do however like the idea of being boss and having a free car. Thats very attractive. Decisions, decisions.
By the way, I've done the rounds, asked the masses and come to the conclusion that this summer is definitely Beach Summer. If there hasn't been at least 3 full on games of beach cricket this summer I will be thoroughly disappointed. Speak of, we went on Saturday and we spotted whales. It was incredible. They were so close to the shore and they were jumping out of the water like you see on TV. It was the first time i've seen a whale in real life. I stood for a long time watching, but they were only showing off for about 5 minutes.
Friday was the best day in a long time. It started with a guitar session by myself which was quite entertaining. I drove to the office around 11 to see if I could help out with the BBQ preparations. It was Dan's last day at work before he headed to Maryborough to live forever. This guy had turned into such a good friend, we're nothing alike, but he had me in stitches constantly. He was by far the best thing about work. I therefore need to leave ASAP. I hope this other job comes together STAT!!! Anyway, after the BBQ Dan and I headed to the local to booze up. We crapped on about how shit our job was for 3 hours. Do you know how refreshing something like that can be??? Then we watched the cricket until Conan turned up. At this point Dan decide it was a good idea to play the Pokies and spent too much money. I feel bad that we left him there, I hope he didn't spend a lot. Man I hate Pokies.
So, Conan and I drove into the Valley to see Captain w00t play. By this stage I was gone. I had started drinking at 11:30ish and there was no turning back. w00t played their best set yet. The awesome thing was the crowd totally love it too. After w00t was The Depot No.12 stylez. I heart No.12 Depot so much. Jess and I hugged Luke which resulted in Luke wanting to glass us. Luke, All You Need Is Love. Best Day.
I need to wash my hair, I think it's full of beach.
