Muscle'n Flo: "I stumbled across this CD in a used record store in Venice, CA, and I ended up buying it for the incredible 3D cover art. However, after this first song on the album, I fell in love with a new sound. The drum beats, the composition, the breaks, the lyrics, the vocal arrangements, and, once again, the cover art. Beauty."
Thou Shalt Always Kill: "I first heard this song on Indie 103.1 and it was the first time I've called a radio station to enquire as to what they just played. This song is a necessity to anyone who's considered marrying an entire band."
Gimmie Some Salt: "I love funky rock bands, and this song makes me wanna moonwalk, albeit terribly as I don't know how to properly...but I bet you'll try it when you give this song a listen. You'll probably do better than I do."
Long Haired Child: "He's one of my favorite singer/songwriters of all time, putting on incredible live shows and having a prolific catalog for such a young guy. He reminds me of a psychedelic, less-politicly transparent Neil Young, with a better singing voice. This song is for all the older hippies who have kids these days."
Don't Call Me Whitney, Bobby: "I followed this band from their origins as the Unicorns and their first CD blew me away. This song, albeit I don't quite get the title, is so much fun to sing-along to and makes a great start to any car journey's playlist."
Formed a Band: "This song explains this band perfectly. They formed a band, and that's what they sound like. Whenever our band 100monkeys was formed, I sang this Art Brut song for a month straight, 'Formed a band, we formed a band...Look at us! We formed a band!'"
Champion: "I know nothing about this band, except I stumbled across this song one day on iTunes and started dancing. This is the song to get you going in the morning; it's even better than caffeinated doughnuts. That's right, I said 'caffeinated doughnuts.' They do exist, first had one at Voodoo Doughnuts in Portland, OR, and they are powerfully delicious, like this song."
Be Gentle With Me: "Branded as country-disco, this band has some of the most fun music I have ever heard. It's playful, doesn't take itself too seriously, yet it has incredibly composition and production value. Their one album is worth the $9.99."
Doo Right: "This is one of Man Man's few ballads. Much like Tom Waits, they place a few straws of hay in every needle-stack. Every single album of theirs holds a piece like this, and this new one os probably my favorite so far. Genius lyrical composition."
A Minha Menina: "I first heard this song as a cover by A Band of Bees, but a friend told me about this original. So much fun to sing along to, especially if you're like me and have no idea what the words are or what they mean."
The Angry Mob: "This song is anthemic like the Killers' music often is, but holds to more of a raw edge, plis, the lyrical content holds an incredibly accurate finger on the vein of modern society, and...it's just plain fun! 'We are the angry mob!'"
